[HCM] MARKETING MANAGER

Key Responsibilities:

  • Key roles: The Key person in charge about the Branding & building community for MMusic. 

  • Developing, creating, and implementing Marketing & Communication Plans for MMusic, MMusic's projects & Artist's campaigns ( included online & offline activities). Such as: Develop and execute audience growth and engagement strategies that drive the awareness and consumption of MMusic domestic repertoire locally and globally, online & offline activities.

  • Develop the branding & multi- ecosystem channels of MMusic's social included official channels & MMusic’s communities & talent’s channels.

  • Develop & execute initiatives to drive social followers of MMUSIC across streaming services, including YouTube subscribers, Spotify followers, Apple Music Pre-adds and more.. 

  • Artist & IP pitching: Request, manage, and coordinate delivery of all key account assets and information, including artist images, pitch notes, audio and video liners, and headers. Support the Streaming team with data pulls across various platforms including Spotify, Apple, Amazon Music, YouTube etc. 

  • Key Person in charge of the relationship & campaign collaborated with the Artists & Marketing team of Platforms, such as: Apple Music, Spotify, Zing.mp3, TikTok…which aims to support DSP initiatives and maximize promotional opportunities.

  • Assist in developing data capture strategy across online channels (including email, SMS, online communities, websites builds & maintenance, newsletter templates, coordinating T&Cs) to ensure data is captured at all opportunities

  • Analyze and conduct channel audits across all label and artist social profiles to ensure peak visibility and performance, working alongside the wider team/s to optimize and action updates accordingly (profile optimisation, lyric syncs etc)

  • Drive e-commerce success through social media and websites

  • Manage strategy, rollout and content distribution across label and artist channels

  • Manage & Assist Publicists with various tasks, including phone interviews, press mailings, and researching press news and industry trades for MMUSIC mentions. Prepare, organize, and send press kits to various media outlets/publications

  • Identify content, community, and creator/influencer & platform collaboration opportunities for our artists

  • Utilize digital trends and new tech + platform developments, aiming to deliver creative and innovative social-first campaigns

  • Be knowledgeable on best practice guidelines and uses of the different social media platforms & tools to help educate and mentor artists in developing their online profiles

  • Assist in establishing the online tone, branding and presence of each artist, telling their story and bringing their vision to life online

  • Collaborate with your Marketing, Promo, Creative, Commercial, A&R and Audience team colleagues to fully deliver on an artist vision

  • Be in constant dialogue with our affiliates and licensees locally to ensure product and tool development are meeting the requirements of local markets and that all needs are being addressed and met accordingly, and that goals and timelines are being adhered to.

  • Work with the digital & commercial team to help ensure a consistent dialogue across the label to maintain a forward-thinking digital approach.

  • Build and maintain relationships across the industry with social networks, digital agencies, influencers/creators, and anyone else that will help us build audiences for our artists.

  • Support growth and integration of new emerging market ventures within the Local Catalog Marketing Ecosystem

  • Find opportunities from in-market innovation for export and globalization.

  • Build & Understand and police the MMUSIC Content Guidelines and educate artist / management on implementation

 

  • Budget & Revenue management: formulate and maintain project budgets with core team members/departments, department head, finance, and top executives and allocate project dollars accordingly. 

  • Task report: you will attend weekly staff meetings to touch base with all departments and present projects to the wider team. Work with senior members of the Marketing team on high level projects to provide day to day marketing support. 

  • Update new social trends: you will stay up to date on all marketing, digital, social, short form and music culture trends. Spot digital trends, understand new technologies and social media behavior to create new and innovative marketing opportunities and solutions. Educate the wider team on how to infuse them into artist campaigns.

  • You will travel as necessary.
     

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of proven experiences in fields related to digital spaces (i.e. digital platform, digital media, agencies, technology firm or related)

  • Be strategic, commercial, collaborative, and a team player

  • Experience developing, creating, and implementing Marketing Plans.

  • Experience in executing an idea from conception to execution. 

  • Analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions in a timely manner. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels within the business

  • Excellent relationship management abilities are a strong requirement. Able to work well with other departments like Licensing, Finance, Legal etc. This will apply to external stakeholders such as regarding artists, managements and business partners

  • Demonstrate excellent planning, negotiation, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced business environment. 

  • Have a great understanding of a wide variety of social media including short-form content platforms (FB/IG Reels, YT Shorts, TikTok), online communities (Discord, Twitch, Reddit, fan-led pages on FB Groups/IG/X etc), streaming services, and other digital platforms, and their data analysis

  • Proven demonstration of principled leadership, business ethics, and consistency among integrity, values and behaviors

  • Multi-tasking and time management skills.

  • Efficient budget management. 

  • Organizational Ability/Agility.

  • Fluent English in both written and spoken is a MUST

  • Effective High Level Communication Skills (Written and Verbal).

  • Experience working cross-functionally with a wider team. 

  • Influencer marketing knowledge

We’d love it if you also have:

  • Experience working with physical product production and go to market strategy. 

  • Established relationships/partnerships with Spotify, Apple Music, Zing, NCT, TikTok, YouTube, Meta & Chinese platforms to acquire the most banners and pitching opportunities for M.Music.

  • Experience in conducting global case studies (e.g. between TikTok x MMusic x Artist x content creator)

  • Engaged with groups/communities such as art hubs, entertainment hubs for collaboration.
